Black Friday, followed closely by Cyber Monday is now one of the most popular sales events in Australia. Black Friday has long held a reputation for a day of frenzied shopping, with TV crews often capturing images of shoppers pushing and grabbing their way to a bargain.
While Black Friday and Cyber Monday have a reputation as horrific displays of mass consumerism, there is also an opportunity for many of us to buy ethical and sustainable goods for yourself or as gifts for loved ones.
So why are we participating in Black Friday then?

We strive to grow our business with the same honesty and integrity we use to craft our eco-friendly products. We are an Australian company that is socially and environmentally responsible, embraces creativity and sources products that are good for people and the planet.
We only use eco-friendly packaging - no plastic!
All of our packaging is thoughtful and plastic free. As a company whose main mission is to reduce waste and be as close to zero-waste as possible, we have spent a lot of time looking at eco-friendly packaging options. With that in mind we have sought out recyclable packaging that works with our sustainable coconut products.
We wrap our coconut bowls in tissue paper and pack them with craft paper so they do not get damaged in transit, then to top it all off we send your coconut bowls in a 100% recycled cardboard box!
You can do your part to help us with the end-of-life of our packaging materials. Please ensure that you recycle, compost or reuse our packaging materials.
With billions tons of plastic ending up in landfill every year, it’s important that as a society we begin to reject plastic solutions in favor of eco-friendly alternatives.
By giving a sustainable gift you are also spreading the word about the importance and awesomeness of sustainable living!
Make sure to support small, independently-owned businesses that focus on eco-friendly and ethical business practices this Black Friday. Keep these suggestions in mind, and you’ll likely end the day with the items you wanted, while also saving money and the environment.
