Wholemeal Oats in a Coconut Bowl

Wholemeal Oats For Breakfast

Oats Coconut Bowl Recipe

Wholemeal Oats is one of my all time favourite breakfast options. Creamy, wholesome and nourishing, its the perfect way to start the day.

With so many delicious ways to change up the flavours (cinnamon, cacao powder, peanut butter) and such a variety of toppings to make each bowl unique, there is no better whole food coconut bowl.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cups of oats
  • 1 Tsp honey
  • Frozen berries
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon

METHOD

  1. Place 1½ cups of oats and 3⅓ cups of skim milk into saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, stir, then boil for 5 minutes until oats are thick and creamy.
  3. Add a dash of milk and sprinkle of cinnamon after cooking.
  4. Serve into coconut bowls and add your favourite toppings.

Wholemeal Oats is one of the most nutritious breakfast foods. It may help a person lose weight, reduce their risk of heart disease, and lower their blood sugar levels.

Oats are rich in soluble fibre, so people tend to feel full more quickly after eating it than they do after consuming other foods. Feeling full can help a person reduce their portion size and achieve their weight loss goals.
